Happy has fantastic potential to enhance any herd. He is actually 11/16 Peruvian, and comes from a long line of champions. Among other awards, his sire won the Silver Medal for best-in-show at the 2015 Taos Wool Festival Fleece Competition. His sire's paternal granddam and great-granddam are also show winners. On his sire's side Happy's bloodlines reach back to the renowned alpacas Peruvian Fabio G217, Peruvian Seeds of Gold G213 and Peruvian Bueno G173. His blue ribbon winning dam's lineage is equally impressive. Happy's maternal grandsire has 10 blue ribbon wins in a packed portfolio. His dam's heritage also includes the famous Macho Fawn HST G451. With such great genetics it is no surprise that Happy has soft, crimpy fiber which has terrific handle and good bundling. We kept excellent show fleeces from each of his first two shearings, but have not entered any competions since his first shearing. The yarn we have had made from Happy's fleece is wonderful. Happy's conformation is solid. Happy is curious and will come quickly to see what is going on. And he is certainly interested in the girls! As we move into retiring from the alpaca business we hope Happy will find a place where he can become the herdsire he was born to be.

Happy will be shorn in mid June, so if you want his current fleece, now is the time to buy!

Should you purchase Happy we will provide a mutually accepted contract. We accept checks or cash for payment in full upon pick up or delivery. Though currently unproven, we are sure Happy is ready to fulfill herdsire duties but cannot guarantee successful breedings. While our animals are not insured, Happy is currently healthy and we will have him checked by a veterinarian before pick up or delivery upon your request.

We can offer some discount on other alpacas in our herd should you be interested in more than one animal now.

It is springtime in the Rockies, so you can schedule a pick up here at our ranch free of charge anytime. If you choose to have him delivered we offer free delivery within 75 miles of Angel Fire, New Mexico. For deliveries farther from Angel Fire we ask for $0.35 per mile. If the delivery is over 175 miles from Angel Fire, then we ask for $200 for each overnight stay based on up to 7 hours of driving per day.
